- Flew to the Ecruteak area to try finding a Pineco and a Ledyba.
- Went to the National Park and found Bugsy there. I don't think I knew he could be found there.
- Picked up a couple of Pokemon by Headbutting trees with Sync.
> Caught: OMELETTE [F] (Exeggcute)
> Caught: AMBER [F] (Pineco)
- It was a good thing I used a Quick Ball on the Pineco, since she has Selfdestruct.
- Got a Mystery Gift. Couldn't claim the first one since I apparently had to delete a Wonder Card (you can only have three!).
- The message was in Japanese, so I have no idea what it would have been.
- Instead, got a Jirachi.
> Received: JIRACHI (SMR2010/06030)
- Aar started a HeartGold playthrough to help me do stuff with this playthrough. Added his new save's friend code to the Pal Pad.
- Spent a lot of time at the Game Corner, did well, and actually recorded some of it.
- Visited the Pal Park and was reminded that it was the weird way to get 'mons from the GBA games over to HG/SS (Probably also D/P/Plat).
I don't have a ton to say about this one.
I didn't know that it was possible to find the gym trainers wandering around parts of the world.
I like that. It helps give an extra bit of depth that makes the game feel more organic.
Catching a Pineco was on my list so I can eventually evolve it into a Forretress.
I think that Forretress is a Pokemon with an awesome name, a unique design,
and is probably underappreciated because it's not great in terms of stats or useability.
I feel like a lot of the Johto Pokemon can be described similarly.
After consorting a list of the Pokemon added in the Generation 2 games, I think it may actually be most of them.
Aar was the first person I shared this with and he's been extremely helpful with giving advice on some things and telling me about different secret things I didn't know were in the game.
My excitement apparently got to him and he started what was basically a HeartGold speedrun to help me out with some Pokemon I would need for some of the secret parts of the game.
