December 30th: Kanto Start

- Gemini leveled up after the first encounter today.
- 43:05; Super! is at Lv.50, Gemini is at Lv.48. Need one level for Ramelia and two for Gorb.
- 43:24; Ramelia and Gorb are at Lv.48.
- Got Sync III from the Daycare Center. He only got one level after all the time spent grinding. I'm not surprised.
- Checked out the Global Terminal while in Goldenrod, mostly to make sure I could get a friend code generated and connect to something.
- Flew to Vermilion City. Time to take on Lt. Surge. I think Super! will be able to do the heavy lifting here.
- Did the first doubles battle that was in Surge's gym. Forgot that Super's two damaging moves are Surf and Earthquake, which hurt all other Pokemon on the field. Switched out Peep with Gemini (Flying gives immunity to Earthquake, which is super effective against Electric). Worked great. Gemini managed to Metronome in a Surf, which healed up Super!
- Challenged Lt. Surge. Super! one-shot every single Pokemon he had and almost made it to Level 52. - Now at 44:00 in the save
- Went to Saffron City. Didn't take long at all.
- Sabrina was actually hard. Lost Peep early on. Super! and Gorb also fainted. Gemini stood his own against the Mr. Mime, barely surviving a second Psychic attack. Sync III took out the Kadabra and Mr. Mime.
- Went East to Lavender Town.
- I didn't check out the buildings in Saffron, but Lavender is smaller, so I checked out all the buildings before doing the gym.
- I'm stupid. There's no gym in Lavender Town. Stopping here for now.

Now that the grind is over, it's time to take down Kanto. Probably not going to get much progress, if any on New Years' Eve. Taking down Surge and Sabrina was a good start. It looks like my next gym should be Celadon, but may end up being Cerulean depending on how I decide to approach this. I think my next step will be to figure out the Power Plant since I have a feeling that's going to make my life easier in the long run. It looks like Fire-type will be good for Celadon and Fuchsia, so I think I'll just go from the Power Plant to Cerulean, then do those two after. I already brought out one of my old Pokemon that was special to me, so I'll be bringing out another one of the three for those. Given the lead up to the previous sentence, it shouldn't be too hard to guess who this might be.
