June 15th: Crack the Eggshell!

- Pulled the egg out of storage.
- Wait, Lavaridge is just four hops up from the road that leads to the stairs that goes to the cable car? Is this game fucking serious? There's already stairs that go up to a part of the mountain that is on equal (or nearly so) elevation to Lavaridge. All they would need to do is clear some trees from the mountain and maybe build a few extra steps and the cable car would be unnecessary for basic access to the town.
- Gary picked up an Ultra Ball.
- Went into the mountain to push boulders around since I can actually do that now.
- Found a Fire Stone.
- The boulders apparently reset their position when they're not on screen anymore?
- Found a Toxic (TM06).
- Decided to put intentional effort into hatching the egg.
- After what felt like half an hour but was probably closer to ten minutes, the egg hatched. It's a Wynaut!

- I plan on calling her just "Sam".
- Wait, holy shit, she came out of the egg at level 5. I thought it was going to start at level 1. That's nice!
- Somehow, I need to get her up about 25 levels while getting most of the rest of my party up by at least ten levels each. Okay, Finger is at 24, but Sredsa and Annie are at 22 and 20, respectively.
- Her starting moves are Charm, Encore, and... Splash. She's a Psychic type, though.
- There is much, much work to be done.
- Got to Fallarbor and had to do some inventory management because the backpack in this game apparently sucks compared to the shoulder bag in SoulSilver.
- I didn't realize that I had a Soft Sand that I could have given to Slapkins to boost his Ground-type moves until now.
- Gave Samantha the Exp. Share.
- Went back to Route 113 to pick up the Max Ether and Super Repel I couldn't pick up earlier and had skipped my first time through.
- Gary found a Nugget.

This was mostly just to get some more experience. It'll probably be a while before I'm feeling ready to pick the fights that are to come. I think 30 is going to be my target, but I'll assume that it'll take some time before I have to do a problematic battle. I can get everyone to around level 27 or so and then use the "grace period" to get more experience from there on.

I'm also making the decision to bench Fitz in favor of trying out Wynaut/Wobbuffet. I have no idea how that's going to work out for me. I haven't really put much thought into this line of Pokemon, so one of them being handed to me seems like a solid time to change that.
