As a result of Fortnite not having a way of viewing in-game purchase history,
I took to keeping track of what I was purchasing in a spreadsheet.
I set up formulas to track the total number of purchases and how much everything was totaling up to.
Not having a viewable purchase history can make spending money on the game feel like a nebulous hole
in which some amount of money is going into for some amount of virtual items.
It's hard to know the difference between 20 purchases and 40 when they're spread out over enough time and the memories of doing so become hazy.
I decided this would be a valuable resource for other players of the game who'd like to keep track of these things and are willing to put in the time to manually enter the necessary information.
I used the spreadsheet I made as a reference and made a template in Google Sheets.
Posting my efforts in documenting which Xbox 360 games would and wouldn't be available after the online store shutdown was a learning experience,
as many people couldn't open the .ODS file from LibreOffice Calc (or didn't know how) and ask for a Sheets version instead.
Instructions for what's in the spreadsheet and how to go about using it are included as a second sheet,
with an example of what one might look like when it's filled out included as a third sheet.
Some knowledge of how to use spreadsheet software is expected, but nothing too complicated.
After clicking the link, go to "File" and "Make a copy" in order to use it.
If someone started adding their purchases to the template, it wouldn't be much of a template!
